Terms of Service

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This page is maintained by WILLIE D LIVE to explain the terms that apply when you visit our website, read our stories, watch our videos, send tips, comment, or otherwise use our services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who we are

WILLIE D LIVE is an independent media brand covering culture, politics, hip hop, sports, money, and the stories the mainstream won't touch. We're based in Houston, TX and operate the site, social channels, podcasts, and newsletter associated with the WILLIE D LIVE name.

2. Using the site

You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You may not attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services. You may not impersonate another person, harass other users, or post unlawful, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or sexually explicit content involving minors.

3. Accounts

Some features (saving stories, commenting, subscriber-exclusive content) require an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. User content & tips

When you submit a tip, comment, photo, video, or other material to us, you grant WILLIE D LIVE a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, edit, reproduce, publish, and distribute that material in connection with our reporting and promotion of our reporting, in any media now known or later developed. You confirm that you have the rights to submit the material and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or the law. We may decline to publish anything, and we may remove user content at any time.

5. Our content

Articles, photos, videos, audio, graphics, logos, and the overall look and feel of the site are owned by WILLIE D LIVE or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may share links to our stories and quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not republish full articles, mirror the site, or use our trademarks without our written permission.

6. Third-party links and embeds

We link to and embed content from third parties (social posts, videos, market data, podcast players, advertisers). We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Advertising & sponsorships

We accept advertising and brand partnerships. Sponsored content is labeled. Inclusion of an ad or partner does not imply endorsement of their products or claims, and any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is between you and them.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our reporting and commentary — including in the Money section — is for general informational purposes only and is not financial, legal, medical, or professional advice. Do your own research before making decisions based on anything you read here.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WILLIE D LIVE and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Services.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
